At Nick Sampson, we have a modern and versatile fleet to serve a wide range of crane haulage and other heavy haulage transportation requirements. What is heavy haulage used for, you may ask? Simply put, it’s the use of large transportation vehicles to move other vehicles, boats, machinery
and other large (or large amounts of) goods from one place to another. Beginning with the purchase of an HIAB-equipped
truck in 1996 to meet on-site demand for workshop and repair work, our fleet is now suited to meet all our customer's needs, however big or small.

- HIAB truck with interchangeable bodies
- 26 tonne with interchangeable trailers
- 32 tonne rear mounted crane with drawbar trailer
- 32 tonne HIAB truck that is four-wheel drive
- 44 tonne artic HIAB with a wide selection of very short to very long trailers
Our HIAB cranes
range from 1t/m to 80t/m so never to over or under sell our customers
Moving onto low loaders, we have a full range of standard and extendable trailers with the best ramp system for all types of equipment – these vehicles range up to an 80 tonne train weight with payloads up to 65 tonnes.
Our specialised adjustable vessel trailer and low beds carry up to a 90 tonne payload. All our drivers are certified to CPCS standards, including loader services, lorry loaders, counterbalance forklift and telescopic handlers (most of our drivers have full ADR) with suitably equipped vehicles. Abnormal loads have become a way of life to our fleet, but thanks to our escort vehicles and up to date notification software, we have the tools and experience for the job.
