At Nick Sampson, we operate a modern and versatile fleet to meet a wide range of heavy haulage and crane transport needs. Heavy haulage is used to transport large, oversized, or heavy items that require specialised vehicles for safe and efficient movement. This can include moving vehicles, machinery, boats, and large goods. In addition, container haulage refers to the transportation of containers, whether for construction, storage, or shipping purposes, using specialised vehicles equipped for the job. Beginning with the purchase of an HIAB-equipped truck in 1996 to support on-site workshop and repair demands, our fleet has grown to accommodate all types of heavy haulage transport, no matter the size or complexity.

Our HIAB cranes range from 1t/m to 80t/m, so we never over- or undersell our customers.

For container haulage and plant haulage, we offer a full range of standard and extendable low loaders with the best ramp system for all types of equipment. These vehicles can carry up to 80 tonnes with payloads up to 65 tonnes.

Our specialised adjustable vessel trailer and low beds carry up to a 90-tonne payload. All of our drivers are certified to CPCS standards, including loader services, lorry loaders, counterbalance forklifts, and telescopic handlers (most of our drivers have full ADR), and all vehicles are suitably equipped. We are experienced in handling abnormal loads, and with the aid of our escort vehicles and advanced notification software, we are fully equipped to manage these complex transportation tasks.
